Easy heat EH25,25/30 KVA induction heater is useful for mounting large workpieces used in heavy machines used in railway workshops, rolling mills etc. It incorporates the latest microprocessor controller with memory. Its unique feature is the recipe programming. The user can store 10 recipe programs for the frequently shrink fitting jobs like end shields, bearings, pinions, couplings etc. Optional yokes are available to accommodate jobs of a wide variety. The jobs can be placed on the horizontal sliding yoke as shown in the picture or the free end vertical arm.Principle of operation:The optimally designed induction coils produce an alternating magnetic field. The bearing or any other ring shape part like end shield, gear, pinion, coupling, piston ring etc. Is inserted on the movable yoke and the yoke is placed on the core arms. The induced eddy currents and hysteresis effect causes fast and uniform heating of the part. The bearing diameter increases in proportion to the co-efficient of expansion. After the heating cycle, demagnetizing action is automatically performed. The hot job is then removed from easy heat and placed onto the shaft for shrink fitting.

APPLICATION & CONSTRUCTION

Easy Heat (S) series Induction Heaters are designed for mounting of Bearings or any other ring shape part like pinion, Bearing races, lybringth, gears, couplings, etc by expanding through Induction Heating and shrunk Fit on the axles. Many bearings are pre-lubricated and protected by shields or rubber seals. Others have brass or copper cages. Some have unusually small clearance. All types can be heated by Easy Heat (S)induction heaters. Made from impact resistant strong scratch resistant body of fiber glass coated with special heat resistant PU harel coating. The horizontal Yoke and Bearing to be heated are placed across vertical supports are ground machined to keep energy losses very low. The entire magnetic conductors made from CRGO laminations.

The power transformer winding is made from electrolytic copper with H class high temperature resistant insulation and is rated for continuous duty cycle and high short term overload. CRGO annealed laminations yield low losses.The control module incorporates highly de-rated thyristorised power control circuit. The Soft start feature prevents the inrush current and high voltage transients and hence prevents the interference with user’s other electronic installations like computers and instrumentation. It includes digital temperature control and indication and timer setting and indication blocks andseveral other annunciations. It has also built-in operation controls and protection circuits. Themicroprocessor based control circuit is designed to achieve automatic demagnetization of thebearings after heating them for dismounting or mounting. The cooling plant is provided for disposal of waste heat generated in induction coils. Forcompactness and portability closed loop and forced cooling concept is employed.The control panel is housed in a panel box made-up of angle iron frame work which is skinned by16 gauge (1.5 mm. Thick) CRCA sheet steel. The panel box is painted with powder epoxy for longcorrosion free service. The heavy duty castor wheels are fitted to move the induction heater atthe work place.Induction coils, designed for low voltage are made from electrolytic copper tubes and class Hinsulation. Spring loaded pulls are of non magnetic material as they operate in high magneticfield area. K type thermocouple with low mass and spring loaded type for effective contact.Connecting cables with coolant channels with minimum 5 mtrs length and of min 1200 Amprating for connecting an Induction coil to the panel.
